Alanine
Alanine is a non-essential amino acid. It plays an important function in the metabolism of the essential amino acid tryptophan and the vitamin pyridoxine.
In cases of hypo glycaemia, alanine may be used for the production of glucose so that the blood glucose levels stabilise in the long term.
